Miami Vacation and Tennessee Valley Fair

Last week we took our first "family" vacation to Miami, FL. We flew into Miami with no problems what so ever. Morgan didn't mind the flights at all which we were so nervous about. We got into our hotel and went straight to the pool and beach. We had 1/2 day on Sunday and all of Monday to be together. Jarret had a class he was taking all day Tues., Wed., and Thurs. We left Friday morning.

Morgan in the waves.

Morgan eating fruit poolside. She is learning to use the fork and spoon by herself.

She also uses her hands still!

She napped on our bed but slept in her own crib.

She loved to play in the pillows and fall into them like a pile of leaves.

Sunrise from our hotel room

She did really well playing in the hotel room, most of the time.

We went for a walk on South Beach on Monday and ate at Front Porch Cafe which was so great.

She did pretty good walking on the beach

The beach was called Lummus Park
This was the beach in front of our hotel.

Getting used to the waves on Sunday

The view from our hotel room. Morgan loved to stand on the window sill and watch out the window.

Morgan decided to sit on Jarret to read her books!

Looking at animals at the Tennessee Valley Fair
This is such a cute picture I think!

Checking out the sheep

Morgan went on her first carousel ride and the man that operated it found out her name was Morgan so we got pictures with the horse named Morgan.

Jarret was happy to have her on a John Deere

The cows compared to Morgan were so big!

She would only pet the goats that were laying down.

This beauty is actually only a baby but was found at our house. This is an extreme closeup and from "normal" range we didn't know what it was. He is only about 8 inches long but around here copperheads and corn snakes look alike. We zoomed in with the camera to find out what the head and eyes looked like. This is a corn snake but still it's a snake and it means there are other snakes around.

I gave Morgan a bubble bath and she liked

She is working on feeding herself with utensils. She likes to eat yogurt.
